Soma Quality Recordings have been pricking up ears recently with their acclaimed ‘Sci-Fi-Hi-Fi’ mix CD series, and it looks like their punts on Alex Smoke and Repeat Repeat have paid off, with both artists drawing new attention to the long-running Glasgow label. Soma’s compilation of their best from 2006 features both artists, alongside a new track from the resurrected IDMers Black Dog, NY dark pop from My Robot Friend as well as regular label contributors Funk D’Void and Silicone Soul.

On CD2 label heads Slam piece together a mix from eighteen Soma tracks both old and new. (RA)
